Program Description
The auto industry is becoming an increasingly tech-driven field because car manufacturers have been putting so much technology into cars. they’re essentially computers! Students in the Automotive Technology Program gain the hightech skills needed to diagnose and repair today’s automobiles and perform preventative maintenance. Virtually every system on today’s vehicles is controlled by computers resulting in high demand for well-trained Auto Technicians. Students in this hands-on program will train in an all-new, state-of the-industry Snap-on Tools lab and will learn to operate the diagnostic tools needed to improve engine performance and repair transmissions, steering and suspension, brakes, electrical, and heating and air conditioning systems. With opportunities to earn industry-standard Automotive Service Excellence Certifications, state certifications, and up to 24 college credits. Students get an amazing jump start on the road to reliability! Students will also have the opportunity to compete and participate in SkillsUSA, a national student organization

Students may participate in SkillsUSA, a national organization that provides opportunities to develop teamwork, personal leadership, and career skills valued by employers.
12th grade students will complete and present senior projects
Automotive YES sponsored paid summer internships are available to qualifying junior students.
Unpaid work experience
Co-op and Paid Work Experience may be available.
