Saginaw Public Schools is Pleased to Announce the
2024-2025 Assistant Principals of Saginaw United High School
Mrs. Kasydra Goode- Tibbs has been appointed Assistant Principal of Curriculum & Instruction of Saginaw United High School . She is the current principal of Arthur Hill High School. She began her career with Saginaw Public Schools 25 years ago, holding such positions as an academic coordinator, foreign language instructor and assistant principal at the Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy. She holds a master’s degree in Secondary Education from Saginaw Valley State University and a Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University in Secondary Education. Prior to being permanently hired by Saginaw Public Schools, Mrs. Goode- Tibbs completed her student teaching with the district at North Middle School and the Saginaw Career Complex. She has also taught in the Detroit Public Schools and at a charter School.
Mr. Jason LaPorte has been appointed Assistant Principal of Student Support Services. He is the current assistant principal at Arthur Hill High School began his educational journey in the fall of 2003 when he student-taught at Arthur Hill High School. Shortly after graduating from Central Michigan University, Saginaw Public Schools hired him as a Social Studies teacher at South Middle School in 2005. He would proceed to teach all secondary grade levels 7-12 in the Social Studies discipline with stints at South Middle School, Thompson Middle School, Saginaw High School, and Arthur Hill High School. He holds a master’s in educational leadership from Saginaw Valley State University.
As Arthur Hill High School and Saginaw High School prepare to unite for the 2024-2025 academic school year, please join in and congratulate Mrs.Goode-Tibbs and Mr. LaPorte on their new assignments as assistant principals of Saginaw United High School.
