Congratulations to our Saginaw Valley League Scholar Athletes of the Year representing Saginaw United! Our male representative is Michael Baldwin! Michael is Saginaw United’s Male Scholar Athlete of the Year. He is a standout leader, scholar, and state champion athlete whose accomplishments span academics, athletics, and community service. With a 4.069 GPA, he’s earned Honor Roll status all four years, completed leadership programs, and received national recognition for academic achievement. Michael is a four-year varsity wrestler, 2025 MHSAA Division 1 State Champion, and three-time SVL Champion, with additional experience in varsity football and cross country. A two-year student council president and co-founder of the Yoga Club, he also dedicates significant time to volunteer work and youth mentorship. Michael plans to major in Exercise Science and Pre-Chiropractic Studies while continuing his wrestling career, with long-term goals of becoming a chiropractor and giving back to his Saginaw community. #SaginawUnited #WeTheU #SVL #ScholarAthlete #Classof2025

Amia is the Saginaw Valley Female Scholar Athlete of the Year from Saginaw United. She is a standout student-athlete who balances academic achievement, athletic success, and community involvement with exceptional poise. Holding a 3.804 GPA, she’s been on the Honor Roll throughout high school, is a member of the National Honor Society, and has earned honors from Delta College. On the court, Amia is a varsity athlete in both volleyball and tennis, serving as a team captain and receiving multiple awards for excellence and leadership. Beyond sports, she leads through coaching, tutoring, and organizing community outreach at her church. Amia plans to attend Grand Valley State University to pursue Medical Diagnostics, with aspirations of giving back through healthcare and one day opening a shelter for those in need. #SaginawUnited #WeTheU #SVL #ScholarAthlete #Classof2025

This enriching event provided valuable insights into the latest advancements in technology, innovative teaching techniques, and updates on relevant laws, all designed to better support and empower their students. The members of the SUHS National Honor Society were awarded a grant from the Saginaw Community Foundation. The National Honor Society conducted a service project in December. Members of the NHS and some other students from SUHS spent an afternoon picking up trash at the Janet Nash Nature Preserve, the Mid-Michigan Children's Museum, and the areas between the two locations. The SUHS National Honor Society is part of a national organization that is dedicated to service, leadership, scholarship, and character. The money from the grant will help the members continue to serve the community.

The Saginaw United National Honor Society inducted seven new members on Thursday, February 27th, in an official ceremony. Congratulations to Aurora Avila, Savannah Blunt, Ahnyala Eichelberger, Adonnes James, Jamiah McClendon, Semaj Vining, and King’Dre Weems.
